Imphal, February 01 2009: POLICE THIS afternoon retrieved a dead body of a man apparently killed by hitting with something blunt weapon from near the foothill at Sangaithel under Patsoi police station of Imphal west.

The unidentified dead body is around 5.2 feet height, has a slim body and of age around 24/25.When police retrieve, both hands were found tied at the back.

A piece of wood with blood stain was also found nearby the dead body which police could estimated that he was killed by hitting with it.

The dead body was first discovered by the villagers who tend cattle today at around 11 am.

After they informed the village chief on the matter, they further reported to the police who later retrieved at round 3 pm.

Another source disclosed that the dead man could be one Laishram Ibomcha son of Ibocha of Mayang Langjing under Lamlai police station who has been missing since he was abducted with two other men of the locality last night at around 8 pm by some unknown persons.

He has been taken by the unknown even though the other two were released later.
