Imphal, July 06 2009: From the disclosure made by one of the arrested alleged accused, police believed that the dead body of the special contractor, Y Krishnadas was dumped where it was recovered later day after hack to dead somewhere.

Meanwhile, the alleged accused Md Mujebur Rehman son of Md Kiyamuddin of Lilong Turel Ahanbi has been detained under NSA by an order of the Imphal west district magistrate today.

Mujebur was produced in the court of CJM, Imphal by the police, seeking further remand with the expiry of his remand period today.

The court ordered further 15 days remand to the police.

Before this, an order detaining him under NSA was issued by the Imphal west district magistrate today.

Mujebur, mention may be made, was arrested by the police on June 26 last in the follow up action of the police in connection with the murder of the contractor, Krishnada after taking a ransom amount of Rs 25 lakh.

With the arrest of the alleged accused police have seized a knife (Khugri) from the rice bowl of Mujebur's home which police suspected a weapon used in killing the contractor.

In the statement, he also disclosed that after hack to dead, the dead body of the contractor was carried by six persons including himself in a white Maruti van and dumped it near the water supply scheme where the dead body was retrieved by the police.

Police have so far arrested six persons in connection with the murder of the contractor and are in the judicial custody.

They are Thokchom Nando (re-arrested from Shajiwa jail), Seram Ashalata, Laikhuram Lakpa, L Gunamani, N Jiten and Md Mujebur Rehman.

Police is believing that Krishnadas was killed by six persons.
