Arrested, killed: KCP (MC)

Imphal, October 29 2008: INFORMATION AND Public Relations Officer, Puranthaba of the outlawed, Kangleipak Communist Party (Military Council) today stated that his group has no connection with the blast at Ragailong and alleged that the security forces killed its cadres after arresting and torturing them cruelly in their custody.

The statement said that the three cadres killed by a combined force of Assam Rifles and Imphal east police commandos at a spot at Heingang namely Laishram Premananda of Sugunu, Laishram Tompok of Sekmaijin Bazar, Salam Rajesh of Shantipur and another one, N Ingobi of Huidrom Awang Leikai who was killed at Sanjenbam were picked up by the security force and killed later.

The first three were apprehended from Dimapur while they were attending a conference there and the last one was nabbed while he was going on a mission to Sanjenbam from Tera Khongsangbi, the statement said.

The KCP (MC) offered revolutionary salute to its slain cadres, the press release stated.

It further clarified that the two youths namely Paomilan and Haokholen who were killed by a combined force of Imphal east commandos and troops of Assam Rifles on October 23 last at Sekmai Maharabi were not connected with the group in any way.

The KCP (MC) extended its wishes to the people, specially the women of the state on the occasion of Ningol Chakkouba.
