Imphal, October 24 2009: The JAC formed in connection with the murder of Doctor Huidrom Binodkumar today served ultimatum to the state government to find the culprit(s) within the next 44 hour with a threatened to intensify their agitation.

The JAC set the dateline after the 24-hour general strike today demanding government finding the culprit(s) before 5 pm today has concluded.

Binodkumar was murdered in connection with money, a spokesperson of the JAC said today adding that government should assure not to repeat such incident in future.

The JAC imposed the general strike as government failed to meet the demand within the set deadline to find out the culprit(s).

The agitation will continue till government find out the culprit(s) and book under the law of the land, he said.

He also demanded apology from the police for destryoing and scattering the peaceful and democratic sit-in protest carried out by the people in connection with the murder.
