Imphal, June 16 2009: The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has strongly condemned the brutal killing of special contractor Yengkhom Krishnadas and called upon the people to rise and fight those who perpetrate such evil acts.

GM Changjou, Chief, Department of Publicity, RPF stated in a press release that every sensible person, clubs, associations, Meira Paibees and organisations must unequivocally condemn the killing in the strongest term.

The RPF called upon the people to launch a movement against those gangs of terrorists who kidnap innocent persons for ransom and carry out acts of terrorism.

The party appealed to the people to remain alert to defend themselves from such incidents.

The press release further stated that the present government of Manipur has been sending out a number of Churanthabas and creating a land filled with the noise of wailings.

Since the beginning of 2009, state terrorism has been going on unabated, during which too many innocent persons had been murdered.

Anyone who has some five or ten thousand rupees in his pocket, who comes for admission for his son or daughter, who comes for shopping, who passes by in the street, and so on had been killed.

Besides, killing of persons who are together with their families at home has also begun.

Since the beginning of the year, about 150 families had been made to suffer griefs and wailings, the RPF's press release stated.

It further stated that killing of Yengkhom Krishnadas will be one of such conspiracies.

Because kidnapping Krishnadas in such a place like Imphal city where security forces are deployed so tightly, and extracting Rs 25 lakh as ransom, then killing him brutally can not be carried out by anyone other than the Churanthaba gang let loose by CM Ibobi, the RPF stated.

The press release further stated that it is learnt that Yengkhom Krishnadas was a social worker who took part in social activities in Kakching areas.

He had taken part in construction of shrines, club and many development programmes.

Ending the life of such a good man so abruptly is not only a great loss to the society but also something that should not have been done at all, the press release stated.

The party conveyed condolences and shared the grief of the family, friends and relatives.
