Imphal, November 11 2008: THE LOBBING and exploding of a hand-grenade at the house of Pungsubam Ongbi Bimola was carried out by PREPAK.

It had nothing to do with the camping of the Zilla Parishad members for the election of Imphal East Adhyaksha at her house, Finance Co-ordinator-1, L Sunil of PREPAK stated in a press release today.

L Sunil explained that on October 5, three comrades of the party were sent to meet one or two ZP members.

Even after knowing that they were men of PREPAK, Bimola and her security escorts overpowered two of them and handed them over to police commandos along with two guns.

This was in complete violation of understandings the party have with Bimola and ZP members, Sunil stated.

He further stated that when Bimola had remained silent after the incident and did things in opposite, another comrade was sent to talk with her.

While he was talking with Bimola, she made her security escorts personnel nab him.

In connection with all the incidents, the party had given her certain conditions, but she has neglected all.

As a warning to her, the bomb was hurled and exploded at 8.05 p.m.of November 9 at her house.

Even after this, any ZP member who ignores and doesn't make contacts with the party, would have to bear the reponsibilities for any consequences that happen to them, the press release stated.
