Imphal, January 27 2010: A staff of popular eating house, OK Hotel was injured, when the gun of a police commando of Imphal West police accidentally went off today at about 8 am.

The incident occured inside the hotel, located at MG Avenue.

The injured has been identified as Atho Mao (23) of Senapati.

The incident occured while Atho Mao, engaged at the hotel as a waiter, was going around with the daily chore along with his fellow workers.

A team of police commando had finished their meal, when the gun of one of them accidentally went off.

Sources said that the commandos were in the process of getting out of the hotel, when one of them realised that he had forgotten his gun behind.

Even as the commando came back, retrieved his gun and was checking, it went off hitting the hotel boy.

A bullet which hit the tummy of Akho Mao penetrated through and after undergoing operation at RIMS is presently recuperation at the post operative ward.

However police and OK Hotel management denied the incident, saying that no such thing happened.
