Imphal, October 08, 2009: A sit-in protest was staged at Nabam Chuthek in Imphal east decrying the bomb blast at house of the state health director, Dr Wahengbam Motilal yesterday.

In the sit protest organized jointly by the Nongmeibung Apunba Nupi Lup and Eastern Students Club placards written "What is the fault of Dr Motilal, we condemn blast at populated area, no solution can be brought about by violence," etc.

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Manipur State Branch expressed strong condemnation the grenades attack at the residence of Dr.W Motilal who is the senior member of the association.

The terror tactics will demoralize the doctors and cause negative attitude to the patients and public who expects the doctors to practice the profession with missionary zeal, yet tolerate such humiliation and acts of terrorism against the doctors.

The association appeal to all organizations to leave the doctors at peace so that they can reciprocate in better patient care, the statement signed by Dr.A Vivekananda, state secretary, IMA, Manipur chapter stated.
