Imphal, March 18 2009: A bomb blast in front of the Subha Hospital and Assisted Reproductive Centre tonight at around 7.40 pm inflicted injuries to at least four people including two women.

Some vehicles parked nearby also damaged in the blast.

Three of the injured people received minor injuieswihle the fourth sustained serious injuries.

He has been referred to the Shija Hospital, Langol.

Injured people were Mayang Lambam Brajeshwori (32) of Kakching Wairi, Khangembam Soro (40) wife of Brajakumar of Takhellambam Leikai and Phuritsabam Ibomcha (30) and his younger brother Allen hailing from Uripok Bachaspati Leikai.

Ibomcha who sustained seroious injury has been referred to Shija hospitals from RIMS hospital where they were immidiately rushed for treatment.

His condition is reported to be in a critical condition.

Ibomcha and his brother are running a pharmacy at the ground floor of the Subha Hospital.

None of the underground groups owned the bomb attack at the hospital till the time of filing of this report.

The blast occurred just two day after failed bomb attacks were carried out by suspected militants at Imphal Hospital and Babina Diagnostic Centre, RIMS road.
