Imphal, June 12 2010: Showing deep concerned over the imposition of blockades on national highways continuously and in quick intervals thereby causing immense misery to the people, MLA Th Shyamkumar said that he would raise a proposal of developing a new highway which would be free of blockades in the coming monsoon session of the State Assembly.

MLA Shyamkumar was speaking at the felicitation function of meritorious students at Top Chingtha community hall today.

Altogether 163 students belonging to Andro A/C who passed out class X and XII exams conducted by CBSE, BSEM and COHSEM felicitated with meritorious awards including cash prizes during the programme organised by the Andro Kendra Development Organisation.

Ten best students of Yairipok centre were also felicitated.

Shyamkumar said that he would put in his best efforts to adopt a concrete decision in consultation with all Members of the State Assembly on the proposal of developing a new highway which would be free of blockades.
