Imphal, July 10: Identity of a deceased person out of two slain by troops of 7 Assam Rifles on July 8 at Khordak Ichil under Kumbi police station has been established as one Mairembam Open (25) s/o M Naba of Moirang Mairembam Leikai in Bishnupur district.

Family members commented at RIMS morgue this afternoon that Open left home to join the PREPAK organisation about a year back.

The body has been handed to family members on completion of post mortem.

Meanwhile, police sources conveyed that the other corpse would be disposed off in case identity could not be established in a day or two.

Physical description of the deceased is said to be 5.4 feet in height, cropped curly hair, whitish complexioned and clad in black colour jean pants with a brown belt and pink coloured T-shirt.

body of another youth who was slain in action by Imphal East district police commandos and 32 Assam Rifles on July 8 at Kyamgei Laphupat area on July 8 is also laying at the RIMS morgue awaiting identification.
