Jiribam, June 09 2010: The Zeliangrong Students' union, Barak Valley has flayed the 115 RCC of 36 BRTF for allegedly taking its job for granted by not repairing the dilapidated National Highway 53 stretch particularly from Kaimai to barak.

While expressing that apathy of BRTF with regard to improper management of NH-53 at this crucial juncture is highly condemnable, the student body also called upon higher authorities of BRTF to ensure expeditious execution of its assigned task.

Meanwhile, heavy landslide at Awang Khul section of NH-53 in Tamenglong district today has disrupted movement of vehicular traffic.

Due to the landslide, about a dozen goods laden as well as passenger carriers are stranded along the route on either side of the landslide zone.
