Imphal, August 04 2010: A meeting of the State Cabinet held this afternoon has recommended that three Ministers of the State Government should visit Senapati district headquarters on August 6 to hold talks with representatives of UNC and ANSAM.

The meeting of the Cabinet held in the conference hall of the Chief Minister's Secretariat with Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh in the chair recommended that PHE and Information Minister TN Haokip; IFC & Youth Affairs and Sports Minister N Biren and Tribal Development Minister DD Thaisii should leave for Senapati district headquarters to discuss issues related to the resumption of economic blockade along the National Highways with effect from 6 am today and others.

Other recommendations adopted in the Cabinet meeting today include recruitment of 19 MCS Grade-II, 25 MPS Grade-II, 23 MFS Grade-III, 25 MSS Grade-V, 43 SDCs and 3 EOs through MPSC, hiking the monthly salary of Chairman of Hill Area Committee Autonomous District Council to Rs 12,000 with a house rent of Rs 2500 and providing an attendant who would be paid Rs 2550 as monthly salary.

For the Vice Chairman, the Cabinet recommended Rs 11,000 as the monthly salary and Rs 2000 as house rent while for the Executive Members Rs 10,000 as monthly salary with an additional Rs 1500 as house rent.

The Cabinet has also recommended the monthly salary of the Councillors as Rs 8,000 and the house rent as Rs 1500 .

Furthermore, today's Cabinet meeting has given its nod to amend Rules no.23 and 25 of Manipur District Council Act, appointment of a Community Development Officer in Forest and Environment Department on the pat scale of Rs 8,000 per month, creation of a post of Project Co-ordinator at the rank of Executive Engineer under Project Management Unit of Loktak Development Authority and extension of the service of one Ibohal who is an OSD in Sericulture Department for one year.
