Imphal, October 27 2009: The United National Liberation Front (UNLF), a major militant outfit based in Manipur has accused the NSCN-IM of breaching certain ethics by killing brutally the injured Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) cadre after snatching him from the villagers who were taking him to have a medical attention.

UNLF leader Ksh Yoiheiba said that after the recent Bohoram Tangkhul village incident where NSCN-IM cadres killed two PLA cadres, the villagers were evacuating an injured PLA cadre for medical treatment but on the way the NSCN-IM cadres snatched the injured PLA cadre from the villagers and killed him.

Reminding an instance way back in 2006, the UNLF said that three NSCN-IM cadres fallen in the hands of Manipur Peoples Army (MPA) in Chandel district were safely released on humanitarian ground.

The UNLF said that these three NSCN-IM cadres will remember the way the MPA had done for them.

MPA is a conglomerate of several militant organisations of Manipur where UNLF is one of them.

The UNLF statement said that atleast injured cadres of the gunbattles should be given a chance for medical attention.

Ksh Yoiheiba said that in wars and battles the antagonist and confronting groups give a chance to the injured for medical treatment which is the accepted international norm.

Yoiheiba then said that the UNLF does not have any bitter feeling on the NSCN-IM cadres but the outfit is against the behaviour of the NSCN-IM leaders for injecting bad-blood among people who are sharing brotherly relationship.

The UNLF called it the "Ethno-Exclusive policy" of the NSCN-IM leaders.
