Imphal, December 28: Unidentified gunmen shot dead one Henam Boyboi (38) s/o Kanhai of Senjam Chirang maning Leikai at around 8.20 pm yesterday.

The victim recovered from a paddy field at near Chirang Mayai Leikai under Sekmai police station, is said to be a pisiculturist.

According to family sources, Boyboi was asleep when two out of four unidentified persons barged into his room and whisked away the 38 year old man.

As his parents and wife went in search of Boyboi after he failed to show up for quite some time his body was found lying at the paddy field.

He reportedly breathed his last while being brought home.

A bullet that hit Boyboi on the throat penetrated through the temple area.

The family members conceded they have no idea why he was slain.

The body has been handed over to family members after the post mortem at RIMS Morgue today.
