According to police source, five suspected persons have been arrested during the course of raids at various suspected areas where the two kidnapped children might be kept hostage and interrogation of the arrested persons is going on.

Though refusing to disclose the names of the arrested persons, the police source, however, informed that raids were also conducted at three more places today.

However the whereabouts of the kidnapped children and which group is responsible for the kidnapping is yet to be established.

On the other hand, a reliable source disclosed that two main suspects are already in the custody of the NSCN (I-M) and interrogation of the two is underway.

The source further hinted that some new outfit or an organised gang might be behind the kidnapping of the two children for ransom.

Even as the family members of the two kidnapped children have appealed to the unknown kidnappers to release Muheni and Hubert on humanitarian ground, they have requested anybody who came across the kidnapped children to contact telephone numbers 9436283650/9436293113 or SP Senapati on his mobile phone number 9436031188.
