Imphal, August 20: As feared in many quarters, many places at Thoubal district are in the danger of getting flooded again after the brief respite during the last one/two days.

With rain still pouring in the catchments areas and sporadic drizzle still on at the valley areas, the water level of Thoubal River has risen alarmingly throwing a number of places including Thoubal Leishangthem, Moijin Mayai Leikai, Thoubal Sabal Tongba and Khekman to the danger of yet another flood of the same intensity.

In another instance, river embankments along the Iril River at Kalika Khongjil in Imphal East which breached earlier again caved in last night with water rushing in from the river to the nearby places till late this evening.
