Imphal, September 19: After the State Government decided not to allow any school, both recognised and non-recognised, located in Manipur to affiliate to other education boards or Universities based outside the State, some more penal provisions were added during another Cabinet meeting today.

The Cabinet meeting held this afternoon decided that in the event of any school or educational institute violating the Cabinet decision their students will not be allowed to pursue higher education in Manipur and they will be prohibited from seeking service under the Government of Manipur.

Biren assures Mini stadium for Ukl : The two day Awareness Camp for National Integration started yesterday at Town Hall, Ukhrul.

The event was jointly organized by the Youth Affairs and Sports Dept, Government of Manipur in association with the Tangkhul Katamnao Shak Long (TKS) and will stretch for two days.

N Biren, Minister,YAS & IFCD was the chief guest during the inauguration function held yesterday while Dr Kh Loken Singh Chairman PDA and Denial Ramsan, senior Advocate, Guwahati High Court were the president and guest of honor respectively.

The YAS Minister in his address assured the huge gathering that a Mini stadium will be constructed both at TNL ground and Pakshi ground Hungpung at the cost of Rs thirty (30) crores and the construction work will begin by December 2007.Moreover, the Minister called upon the youth to live healthily and develop social mindedness and promote sports and its activities.

Dr Kh Loken in his speech urged the youth to develop a healthy good vision for healthy living with liberal mind, to usher in development.

The visiting Ministers and the team also inspected the TNL ground, Wino Bazaar and Pakshi ground Hungpung before the function.

The TKS taking the privilege of the visit also submited a Memorandum to the Minister for early redressal of the demand to for development of the Dist.

.The other points contained in the Memo included seting up of sports statium, providing sports equipment, Youth Hostel with necessary infracture and a sports ground in every Sub-divisional Hq.besides, deployment of one instructor for the District Taekwondo Team.

The Minister and MLA were also accompanied by the Chairmen YAS and Presho A.Shimray, senior scientific officer ecology & environment Government of Manipur.
