Imphal, August 17: The Additional CJM Imphal has fixed September 5 for final hearing of an application filed by the CBI for cancelling the bail granted to two persons accused in the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Lungnila Elizabeth.

An order to this effect was issued yesterday after hearing the CBI application partly, official sources informed.

The application prayed before the Court to cancel the bail granted earlier by the CJM in favour of N Rome and another accused from Imphal West contending that they have not cooperated with the CBI investigation.

Though remanded to judicial custody earlier, N Rome was released on bail on September 18, 2004.The man from Imphal West was accused of abducting Lungnila from Little Flower School.

He was released on bail on November 27, 2003, the sources said.

The particular accused also refused to undergo lie detection test at 1st MR complex saying that doctor advised him to take rest.

Fixing the final hearing on the matter on September 5, the Additional CJM asked the CBI investigating officer (IO) to produce the case diary before the Court.

James Kuki, the prime suspect in the murder case, along with two other suspects underwent lie detection case conducted by the Director of Central Forensic Science Laboratory.

The CBI has already declared that it would submit chargesheet against the accused before the relevant Court for conducting trial.
