Imphal, September 14: Frequent instances of looting, extortion, and harassment meted out to drivers and passengers among other scores of problems being encountered by the people of Manipur on a daily basis along the two National Highways 39 and 53 were highlighted and discussed threadbare at the recent National Conference on CNG held at New Delhi.

The two-day long Conference organized by the National Federation of Indian Road Transport Workers was held from September 3 to 4 at Bengal Bhavan, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi.

From Manipur's side, working member of All India Trade Union Congress and State secretary of National Federation of Indian Road Transport Workers, H Kullamani Singh attended the Conference, wherein he highlighted the problems being faced by the people along the two National.

Highways due to lack of security and other infrastructural needs, said a press release of All Manipur Road Transport Drivers' and Motor Workers' Union.
