Imphal, February 14: In two separate incidents, four persons have been found shot dead in different places during the last 48 hours.

At Yembumlok under Sapermeina police station (near Tairenpokpi Khunou of Imphal West district) two persons were found shot dead by some unidentified gunmen at about noon today.

It is reported that the two were brought there by the gunmen on a motorcycle and a Honda Activa before they were shot dead.

Both the deceased were hit by a bullet each on the head.

A piece of paper written with the words "Lourembam Shitol" was recovered from one of the deceased.

The two corpses have been deposited at RIMS mortuary.

On the other hand, another man was found shot dead at Mairenbam village near Sora under Kakching police station at around 11 am today.

The deceased has been identified as Md Zuma Khan alias Lukhoi (37) s/o Haji Angou of Sora Mamang Makha Leikai.

Two bullet marks were observed on the deceased.

Police have retrieved the corpse and deposited the same at RIMS morgue.

Meanwhile, one more man was found dead with a bullet mark in the chin at Changpi Khullen under Chakpikarong police station last afternoon.

The corpse has also been deposited at RIMS mortuary.

Bomb defused : A bomb which was found at a spot about 5 kms away from Keithelmanbi in Imphal West district today was safely defused by a bomb squad of the State police.

The bomb was detected today morning.
