Imphal, November 12: Mourners belonging to different communities thronged at the official residence of Francis Ngajokpa at Lamphel soon after the news of the discovery of the body of the young girl was spread in Imphal despite the curfew.

Every one stood up when the coffin carrying the body of Lungnila was brought and placed on a table in the courtyard.

The women, who were silently weeping, started crying loud as they saw the coffin.

The mother was inconsolable.

Despite the loss and grief, the father of Lungnila, Francis Ngajokpa, Minister GAD was very calm when he spoke to the mourners.

Showing a colour photograph of his deceased daughter he said Lungnila went to school on November 4 last but came back home today in a beautiful coffin and the face is beyond recognition.

Thanking the people of Manipur who had shown their love and affection for his daughter, he reiterated, "Let the sacrifice of my innocent daughter be the last one in the state and there be peace in Manipur".

Lungnila was a quiet and shy girl, he said.
