Imphal, July 11: Taking a serious note of the stringent restrictions placed on the people of Heirok by the proscribed UNLF and KYKL over the SPO issue, the SPF Cabinet has decided to take up a slew of measures for the protection/welfare of Heirok.

Primarily focussing on the present state of affairs at Heirok, especially the large scale 'coming home' of students from their respective educational institutions, the Cabinet which met today decided to improve the educational infrastructure at Heirok.

The School Education Department has been entrusted with the task of working out the number of the required teachers.

The important aspect of Health figured prominently during the Cabinet meeting.

The Cabinet reviewed the existing situation and though there are doctors and para-medics posted at the Heirok Health Centre, it was decided to improve the existing infrastructure.
