Ukhrul, May 07: Unidentified persons lobbed an explosive at the residence of Ukhrul EE, PHED, Shangreiphao Vashum, at Viewland today morning at around 3, reports our Ukhrul correspondent, Addie Chiphang.

Though the bomb splinters partially destroyed some portion of the verandah, doors, windows and some flowers pot there was no human casualty in the incident.

Shortly after the explosion, Ukhrul police led by its OC Hopson Chiphang, rushed to the spot.

The explosive device is likely to be a local\country made bomb, said police.

Meanwhile, the EE has filed FIR to the police in this connection.

Condemning the bomb attack the KHL (Ukhrul Students Union) has appealed to the groups or organization to spell out the reason for the attack act and not to repeat such things in future in the larger interest of peace and tranquility of society.
