Imphal, October 21 2009: The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) and its army People's Liberation Army (PLA) have strongly condemned the killing of two of PLA's cadres in an attack by a group of NSCN-IM's men at about 1.50 pm of October 19 at Bahoram Tangkhul village.

A press release issued by Chief, Department of Publicity, RPF, GM Changjou stated that the two slain cadres of PLA belonged to 251 Mobile Battalion and Auxiliarly Command.

They are Army No.3119, L/Cpl Sanayai, real name Yengkhom Bungocha, son of Late Y Manithoiba Meitei and Y (Ongbi) Tarapati Leima of Awang Leikinthabai and Army No.2903 Pte.

Chingkheinganba, real name Laishram John, son of Late L Thoiba and L (Ongbi) Taruni of Mayang Imphal Shamushang Shantipur.

The two were killed in an attack launched against them by a group of NSCN-IM's men who do not understand brotherhood and also that we all are carrying together the heavy burden of colonialism.

RPF/PLA offer revolutionary salute to the two slain Marup, stated the press release.

It further stated that the NSCN-IM, which is undergoing ceasefire and peace talk with the Government of India, was taking a suspicious role.

What is more suspicious is the question whether some important leaders of the NSCN-IM were being used as secret weapons by the GOI.

The leaders of NSCN-IM had better looked into this.

If not, to the opposite of the rights to self determination of all communities existing together in this region, a fratricidal war may come about which may make the divide and rule policy being continued fondly by India successful, the press release stated.

It also pointed out that earlier the GOI had claimed on various occasions that there is not a single designated camp of NSCN-IM in Manipur.

But later, it was found that there were designated camps at Bunning in Tamenglong district, Oklong in Senapati district, Phungchong in Chandel district and recently at Siroy in Ukhrul district.

This gives rise to the suspicion that there is a clandestine nexus between the GOI and the NSCN-IM.

The question that whether the commanders and the cadres of NSCN-IM lodged at these designated camps were being used by the GOI as weapons in suppressing the revolutionary organisations which are waging a war of liberation of Manipur had been made clear by the NSCN-IM's attack of October 19, GM Changjou stated.

He also pointed out that the attack of October 19 by the NSCN-IM's cadres on PLA has driven in a wedge between the RPF and NSCN-IM which otherwise have been maintaining a good and amicable relationship of brotherhood.

RPF and PLA condemned the act of NSCN-IM and are in a position of replying in the same manner.

Unless the NSCN-IM changed its attitude, the RPF may take a new stand as regards the NSCN-IM.

Meanwhile, it is shameful that the Governmen of Manipur did not have an inkling of the handing over of the barracks at Jessami by BSF, before they left, to Nagaland police, GM Changjou said adding that it was a clandestine plot of the GOI to create dispute over land in Assam, Nagaland and Manipur so that the movement for liberation in this region would be diverted.

It would be right for the people of this region to take precautionary measures, the press release stated.
