Imphal, May 09 2009: Denouncing the grenade attack undertaken by some unidentified persons at the residence Agriculture Officer Ningombam Sarat at Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi Mayengbam Leirak yesterday in which the wife of the AO sustained injuries, womenfolk of the locality staged a protest demonstration at Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi today under the aegis of the Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi Nupi Khunnai.

Placards which read as "Man should think like a man", "Don't create panic to innocent people, women and children" etc were put up at the protest site.

One protester questioned as to why casualty was inflicted upon innocent civilians by lobbing grenade at the residence.

She also urged upon all concerned to own the attack and to come out with an explicit explanation for the dastardly attack.
