Imphal, May 22 2009: The proscribed Revolutionary People's front (RPF) today categorically denied the claim of Chief Minister O Ibobi who dubbed (L) L Satish @ Tomba son of Loitongbam Sarat of Singjamei Oinam Thingel killed by the Manipur police commando on May 16 in an alleged stage encounter as a PLA cadre, and clarified that L Satish and Pebam Gunindro, who was arrested along with Satish were not related with the RPF or its armed wing PLA in any way.

Dismissing the statement made by Chief Minister Ibobi who said that Satish was a PLA, a press clarification issued by Chief, Department of Publicity of RPF, GM Changjou states that there is no training camp of PLA in Bangladesh and there has been no instance when L Satish was given a RPF/PLA number.

It stated that the RPF/PLA has traditionally valued and shown respect when its cadres were killed and the outfit is not a party to disown its cadres when they are killed unlike the IOF and Manipur police commando.

GM Changjou also stated that the irresponsible statement of CM Ibobi as very 'unfortunate' while also demanding clarification of the CM's statement who said that details of Satish's involvement with the PLA were provided by Thoubal SP.

The RPF statement further stated that several lives have been lost in fake encounters unleashed by the Indian government and CM Ibobi who dances to the tune of New Delhi and his gang group who try to forcibly suppressed the armed liberation movement of Manipur, taken up within the framework of the UN.

GM Changjou observed that 138 people have been killed in fake encounters since the beginning of year 2009 (140 days) at an average rate of one person per day.
