Imphal, April 17 2009: With two more dead bodies identified today, so far identities of eight out of 10 slain men in the Operation Summer Storm reaching the RIMS morgue have been established and taken away by their respective families.

On the other hand, OC, Kumbi police station today said that if the dead bodies handed over to the station be not indentified and claimed till tomorrow (April 18), then it will be dispose off.

So far 10 bodies have been brought up to RIMS morgue, Imphal by the Kumbi and Moirang police stations even though Army authorities have claimed killing twelve underground activities during the seven day long operation which is continuing.

At the latest, one dead body of a suspect was brought up to RIMS yesterday.

He was said to be killed yesterday in a clash occurred near the Kumbi Pologround at around 4.30 am between the suspected undergrounds and 7 AR.

A 9mm pistol and 10 empty cases along with a hand grenade were recovered from the slain suspect.

The slain youth was later today identified as Wahengbam Mangal alias Juge (27) son of W komol of Kumbi Lai Eshing Chaibi Leikai.

According to the family he was abducted by some persons suspected to be undergrounds along with some of his friends on April 5 from a Thabal Chongpham.

He was a salesman working at a variety shop (Nungsibi Variety Store) at Kumbi Bazar.
