Imphal, May 07: Reiterating their stand to accept arm to safeguard themselves, JAC Lilong Chajing informed that the villagers would discuss in minute detail about the matter on May 12 .

Maintaining that the villagers demanded arms only to safeguard themselves, JAC asserted, DGP's statement of proposed use of SPOs in CI operations create confusion in the minds of the villagers.

While conveying that their demand of arms does not mean that they are going to fight with the insurgents, JAC said, they still respect the revolutionary movement of the State.

However, they would condemn any form of disrespect of innocent lives, be it by security forces or revolutionary groups, said JAC.
