The hand-grenade (Chinese) reportedly landed under the sentry post (tower) near the gate of the MLA's residence with a splinter hitting on the left eye-brow of the MR jawan, who was standing near the security room on the opposite side.

As a part of preliminary investigation police have recovered a honda Activa scooter suspected to be used by the attackers.
