Imphal, October 25 2008: Unidentified gunmen reportedly opened fire three rounds at the Keishamthong Hodam Leirak residence of Dr Laisham Sukumar at around 7.30 pm today.

Police have recovered three empty cartridges of 9 mm pistol from in front of the outhouse of the residence.

According to family members, at the time of the firing attack, Dr Sukumar was not at home as he had gone to perform a serious operation.

They also denied having received any monetary demand from any UG groups.
