Imphal, September 19: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a surrendered cadre of the proscribed KYKL at Tiger Camp, which is about 14 kilometres north west of Lamlai police station.

according to police sources the shooting took place this afternoon with the victim identified as one Khaidem Premjit (38) s/o Kh Tomba of Sekta Makha Leikai suffering fatal wounds on the head.

Premjit reportedly surrendered to the Army some six years back and had been staying at home.

According to family sources, Premjit was whisked away by two motor-cycle (Bajaj Pulsar) borne persons from near him home at around 3.40 pm.
