Imphal, April 23: Two suspected underground activists have been gunned down by a team of Imphal East district police commandos at Wakha in Imphal East district at around 6 pm today.

Wakha is located about six kilometres east of Porompat police station.

The security personnel reportedly recovered one AK series rifle and one 9 mm pistol from the slain persons.

The bodies have been deposited at RIMS morgue for post mortem and identification.
