Imphal, December 07 2009: The KNO/KLA has claimed that it had given capital punishment to its two deserters at around 6 pm of December 5 .

A press release issued by the outfit's information and publicity secretary Armstrong Kuki identified the slain deserters as Hemmang Touthang alias Mamang and Hemmang alias Tiger.

The two were on a mission to shoot some KNO/KLA cabinets when they were intercepted by KNO/KLA cadres at B Vengnuom Gate where they were shot dead.

Since the day Mamang and Tiger deserted the party with three automatic weapons, they had been terminated and as such they were not included in any group under SoO pact, asserted Armstrong Kuki.
