UNC urges all to roll out red carpet for Th Muivah

Imphal, May 02 2010: Senapati, May 2: The Naga frontal organisations led by the United Naga Council (UNC) have invited all the communities in Manipur to join in the reception programme for NSCN-IM leader Thuingaleng Muivah.

"As the Naga people welcome the 'peace negotiator' Th Muivah, we are reaching out to all the neighboring communities for their solidarity and to join us in the reception programmes.

This historic tour is yet another step for turning the war torn land into a land of peace and therefore, we seek the goodwill of all the neighbouring communities and solicit their magnanimous participation in this journey of peace," appealed the Naga frontal organisations.

The United Naga Council (UNC), Naga Women Union, Manipur (NWUM), All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) and Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR) have extended their warmest welcome to NSCN-IM general secretary Th Muivah, who will be visiting Somdal, his native village in Ukhrul and Senapati.

The Naga people look forward with great expectations to the opportunity to warmly receive the 'chief negotiator' of the Nagas in the Indo-Naga peace talks and to honour him for his tremendous contribution towards international Peace in the South East Asian Region, said the Naga frontal organisations.

A reception committee, comprising of presidents of all Naga frontal organisations and tribe Hohos has been constituted and is making necessary arrangements for public receptions particularly at Ukhrul and Senapati.
