Imphal, November 29: The identities of the two men shot dead by troops of 1 Assam Rifles at Pihang village under Chassad police station at about 1.06 am of November 27 cannot be established till date.

The corpses are still lying at RIMS mortuary.

Of the two unidentified deceased, one was about 5 ft 8 inches in height and appeared to be about 26 years of age.

He had medium complexion and was thickly built.

He wore combat dress under a smoky jersey.

Underneath, he wore a black T shirt and was wearing hunting boots.

The other one was thinly built and was about 5 ft 6 inches in height.

He looked to be about 23 in age and had medium complexion.

He also wore combat dress underneath a white vest.

Above the combat dress, he was found wearing a black jersey and hunting boots.

In a similar case, the youth slain by Imphal West commandos at Laining Khul under Lamshang police station last night cannot be identified as yet and the corpse is lying at RIMS mortuary.
