Awareness camp on integration

Imphal, August 29: A public awareness programme on National Integration, Communal Harmony and Health through dance, song, drama and martial arts form conducted by Song and Drama Division, Imphal Centre started from August 27 at different places of Senapati district.

The programme will continue till September 5.Interested club, organisation and institutions willing to host such programmes may contact Troupe Secretary, L Bimolchandra Singh, said a PIB release.

Media camp: The seven day Regional Mixed Media Camp in Water Colour Painting and Wood Carving organised by Rashtriya Lalit Kala Kendra, Kolkata in collaboration with Department of Art and Culture, Govt of Manipur has been inaugurated at Guest House, Kangla Fort today.

The inaugural function was attended by Minister, Art and Culture, Ph Parijat Singh and Member, General Council, LKA, Th Tombi Singh as guest of honour and Commissioner, Art and Culture, P Bharat Singh as president wherein around 20 artists from West Bengal, Assam and Tripura including Manipur participated in the camp.

Environment campaign: Lions Club and Leo Club of Moirang in association with Moirang Municipal Council conducted two day social service camp to implement "One Year Long Campaign for Polythene Disposal and Waste Management" from August 27 at Moirang Bazar.

Nearly 230 NSS volunteers and NCC cadets took part in the camp which including clearing solid waste sites and door to door campaign on polythene disposal.
