Imphal, August 25: A PULF cadre was killed in a reported encounter with Thoubal district police commandos that took place at around 10:15 pm last night at Sangomsang.

The slain cadre has been identified as Md Amu (25) s/o Sanayai of Lilong Turel Ahanbi Ubak Thong Makha.

One 36 HE hand grenade, three empty cases of AK ammunition and three empty cases of 9 mm ammunition and one scooter NV (light grey colour) bearing registration number MN-01N/3721 were recovered from his possession, said a press release of Thoubal SP.
