Imphal, June 22 2010: The Mao Union Imphal and the Imphal Senapati Transport Co-operative Society Limited have strongly condemned the attack on passenger buses by unidentified miscreants near Sangakpham and 2nd MR Gate last morning.

A press release issued by the Mao Union Imphal questioned the motive behind the unprovoked attack It urged the individuals concerned not to invite unwanted provocation when situation has returned to normalcy with a sense of understanding and peaceful co-existence amongst different communities in the State.

The Union also urged the State Govt to compensate the bus owners as well as the injured passengers and book the culprits involved in the unwarranted attack.

While decrying the attack on passenger buses, the Imphal Senapati Transport Co-operative Society Limited has appealed to authorities concerned to avert such incidents in future.
