Imphal, April 22 2009: The post-mortem of the skeleton remains of an animal recovered from Ungamen Pat of Loktak lake where the Army and the Police recently launched a joint operation would be conducted to find out the cause of the death and the exact species of the animal at Zoological Garden at Iroisemba.

According to an official from the State Forest Department, the skeleton remains have been picked up and kept at the office of the Forest at Keibul Lamjao and the same would be brought to Imphal tomorrow for examination.

To which animal does the skeleton remains belonged to has not yet been able to find out and it is likely that the animal may have died few months back, the source added.
