Imphal, August 20: The bodies of the two UG suspects killed by Thoubal Police Commandos during an alleged encounter at Wangbal on the night of August 11 have been handed over to the police for disposal after post-mortem examination at RIMS today.

On the other hand, a statement issued by the police today said that the body of another UG suspect killed by personnel of 4/8 GR during an encounter which took place at an spot in between Chini Ingkhol near Bishnupur and Lower Ngarian on the night of August 15 would be disposed off if no one come to claim it by tomorrow.

According to the descriptions given by the police, the slain UG suspect has oval face shape, wheatish complexion, black short hair, lean body structure, ear lobes are not pierced and appears to be a Muslim in the age group of 20 to 25 years.

He was found clad in blue jean pant, black full sleeve shirt and sports shoe written Adidas on it.

Meanwhile, the body of Irom Shantibala (24) d/o late Shamphaba of Mayang Imphal Kokchai Awang Leikai who reportedly died after consuming poison in a suspicious manner on the night of August 18 is still lying at the mortuary of RIMS Hospital while the body of another woman who also died after consuming poison at around 9.30 am yesterday has been taken away by her family members after post-mortem examination.

The deceased woman has been identified as Ningombam Ningol Sapam Ongbi Ichan (23) w/o Chaoba alias Chaobi of Sapam Laikon Leikai under Kakching Police Station.

She died at Thoubal District Hospital where she was admitted for treatment.
