Imphal, July 20 2009: The alleged three cadres of KCP-MC (Puranthaba group of Lamyanba Khuman faction) slain during a reported encounter with a combined security force at Chini Ingkhol in Bishnupur district last afternoon have been identified.

They were Ningthoujam Chandra alias Lukok (43) s/o Ibomcha of Keibul Makha Leikai, Salam Hemanta alias Inao (24) s/o Tomba of the same locality and Wangkhem Premjit (27) s/o Heramot of Naransena Maning Leikai.

They were killed by a combined team of Bishnupur district commandos and troops of 4/8 Gorkha Rifles.

Chandra was staying at a rented rooms at Sangakpham together with his wife and daughter.

He used to work as brick-layer.

Hemanta was also a brick-layer.

He stayed at his in-law's place at Bashikhong.

Hemanta left behind his wife and two sons.

Premjit was a salesman at a cosmetic store at Imphal.

He is survived by his wife and a son.

All three of them left their houses in Bishnupur district for the last time about three months back, informed family members.

The corpses have been handed over to respective families after post mortem at RIMS today.
