Imphal, July 10 2009: Of the four individuals shot dead by two separate incidents of reported gun-fights with troops of 29 AR at two places under Tengnoupal police station in Chandel district on July 4, corpses of two have been disposed off today as they could not be identified.

Troops of the AR unit shot dead two UG suspects at Lilam centre and another two at Kambang Khunou on the same day.

Assam Rifles claimed that all the four slain individuals were PLA cadres.

Of the two slain at Lilam centre, one was identified as PLA cadre named Khundrakpam Basanta alias Babu (25) of Jiribam.

One KYKL cadre identified as Mutum Michael (34) of Lalambung Makhong was among the two killed at Kambang Khunou.

Corpses of Basanta and Michael have been claimed by respective families.

Although AR claimed that all the four slain men were PLA cadres, RPF identified only Basanta as their cadre.
