Imphal, December 08: Reacting to the proscribed PREPAK's press statement that Mutum Sanatomba (25) s/o M Menjor of Khurai Salanthong Chaithabi Leirak was shot dead after being apprehended, SP of Imphal West, Clay Khongsai asserted that the statement was totally unfounded and fabricated.

The police seized whatever was recovered from him in the encounter at Lamphel quarter area which included a .36 hand grenade and cell phone.

Neither any pistol nor any money was recovered from the spot, clarified the SP.
