Dimapur, May 08: Altogether four cadres of the rival NSCNs have been killed in Dimapur today in two separate clashes between the NSCN-IM and the NSCN-Unification.

Reports said that it was the NSCN-IM which launched the ofensive against the NSCN-Unification today killing three of the rival NSCN-Unification cadres at Diphupar area in Dimapur while an NSCN-IM cadre was killed by the NSCN-Unification at Dimapur Jail road area.

According to the reports the clash began this morning when the NSCN-IM attacked the rival NSCN-Unification killing three cadres of the latter group while in another clash a cadre of the NSCN-IM was shot dead at the Jail road area gun-fight today.

The NSCN-IM said that one of its cadres ran towards the rival NSCN-Unification side thinking that it was his grroup which turned out to be a fatal move for the cadre.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

Succumbed : Twenty seven year old Mathew who was admitted to Raj Polyclinic at North AOC in a critical condition after being shot at by some unidentified gunmen at Namdulung under Imphal Police Station at around 1.15 pm yesterday succumbed to the injuries today.

The body has been handed over to his family members after post mortem at RIMS morgue today.
