Many condemn, demand release

Imphal, May 28 2009: The All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association has condemned the murder.

It also sought release of the student leaders arrested in the aftermath of the killing of Prof Islamuddin.

The Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) denounced the remorseless murder of Prof Islamuddin.

It also decried the act of frequent raids in MU men's hostels in the aftermath of the killing.

Others who joined the outcry against the murder included the Ghana Priya Women's College Students' Union and the Itam Nungoi Juvenile lub, the Yourabung Youth Club, the Biramangol College Students' Union and the Thoubal College Students' Union.

However, they decried the act of pulling up students in the aftermath of the killing of Prof Islamuddin.

They also demanded unconditional release of all the arrested students.

The Maharaja Bodhchandra College Students' Union has also demanded unconditional release of all arrested students at the earliest.

According to the SSP Imphal West, altogether 13 people have been pulled up so far.
