Imphal, February 20 2009: The identity of four out of the five UGs killed in a clashes among them in the morning of February 18 at a spot in between Thanagom and Duithangjang which is across Khoupum Dam in Tamenglong district have been established.

According to police record, among the four slain UGs who have been identified, two of them were newly recruited PREPAK cadres and one of them was NNC cadre.

All of them were lads of around 15-16 years of age.

Th two slain PREPAK cadres were Huidrom Amuthoi (16) s/o Shantikumar of Sekmaijin Awang Leikai and Longjam Aboi (15) s/o Chaoba of Thoubal Khunou Awang Leikai.

According to family members Amuthoi left home in February last year while Aboi did not return home about leaving on the day of last Kanglen.

Both of them were identified today.

Among those who were identified yesterday include NNC cadre Guidenlung Gonmei (15) s/o G Johnson of Khumji near Noney and Keisham Gugu (22) of Uripok Bachaspati Leikai but staying at Khurai Ningthoubung Leikai.

It is said it has been only three months since Guidenlung Gonmei left home to join the NNC outfit.

However, to which group Gugu belonged has not yet been able to establish.

The four bodies which have been identified so far were handed over to their respective family members after post-mortem at the mortuary of RIMS Hospital today.
