Imphal, July 17: Along with announcing imposition of a general strike in Bishnupur district from 5 am to 5 pm tomorrow, the JAC Against the Brutal Killing of H Somendro Singh and M Somen Singh have refused to take back the bodies lying in the mortuary of RIMS Hospital until an agreement is reached with the Government.

A decision to this effect was arrived at during a public meeting held at Bishnupur Bazar today.

Contending that the two persons, Somendro and Somen were killed by a combined force of Police Commandos and personnel of 12 Maratha Light Infantry after picking them up from Keishampat Bus Parking, the meeting also demanded punishment of the security personnel, payment of ex-gratia and immediate withdrawal of AFSPA from Manipur.
