Imphal, February 05 2010: The United People's Party of Kangleipak (UPPK) has condoled the death of Sgt Maj Irom Naobiton alias Nando alias Malangba (28) s/o Ibomcha of Taothong Ayungba Mamang Leikai and Sgt Takhellamba Herojit alias Nanao alias Seile alias Ngamkhei (22) of Serou Mayai Leikai.

A press release issued by the outfit's assistant secretary, information and publicity department Khuman Laishramcha said that the duo were cadres of Kangleipak People's Army (KPA), armed wing of the UPPK.

They were killed by Imphal East commandos at a Tasar farm in Lairou area of Nongmaiching hills at about 2.45 pm of February 2 .

The two cadres felled in the hands of security forces for dereliction of duty and violating KPA rules.
