Imphal, August 04: Mockingly appreciating the ANSAM sponsored indefinite economic blockade Chingmeirong Womens Society observed that the ongoing agitation had resulted in people able to identify true colours of some leaders.

The blockade not only strengthened the peoples resolve to preserve the territorial and emotional integrity of Manipur but has led to MPs Rishang Keishing and Mani Charenamei themselves unveiling mask of double standard, said the women organisation in a press release.

Cautioning the common people to be wary of sinister role played by some legislators with the two MPs in lead casts, the Society resented that despite concentration of the two and accumulated wealth in posh residences at the valley area the two are creating chasm between communities.

On the economic blockade, the Chingmeirong organisation described Ansam as the only student body which had crossed all human barriers by attempting to slay drivers with harmful weapons, cutting off food supply for over a month and dislocating Irang bridge which is akin to acts of terrorism.

It also warned the Govt against withdrawing the June 18 declaration or signing any agreement detrimental to interest of the general public in trying to please Ansam leaders.
